Our proposed installation is a piece evocative of the dreamscene and heightened perception installation works we have studied early in the semester. The content is inspired by something we have all had, chased, acquired, and lost forever. This elusive bringer of happiness is defined by most of us as our "dreams". When we are young many of us have dreams we all hope to achieve, whether it’s to have a lot of children, win the lottery, become an astronaut. However there is often a break between our dreams and reality. The dreams many of us harbor as children often never come true. We neglect them, they change, we realize that sometimes dreaming isn’t enough. The 1st stanza of a popular Disney song ensures that:

When you wish upon a star

Makes no difference who you are

Anything your heart desires

Will come to you

But this isn’t the case for the vast majority. In our piece we want to illustrate this disjunction between a dream one may have and the reality that often times prevents us from achieving them.
