WISHFUL THINKING
installation

Our proposed installation is a piece evocative of the dreams and the heightened perception installations works that we studied early in the semester. The content is inspired by the desires that we all have had, chased, acquired and lost.

This installation acted as a space composed of many dreams. The dreams were encompassed in balloons and were sourced from actual surveys. As participants explored the room, applied friction and movement would cause the balloons to pop. The popped balloon, with the dream inside, represented its demise. Our goal was to show how our interactions, whether from others or ourselves, cause our dreams to change and, sometimes, cease to exist.
